His extensive professional network extends across national and international entertainment and media companies, highlighting his established expertise in managing a wide range of projects from inception to completion, including film production, direction, and advertising. With a robust portfolio encompassing over 100+ television and digital campaigns for top-tier brands, Shabbir has successfully led advertising initiatives for more than 100 brands, working closely with renowned and esteemed filmmakers both domestically and internationally.
Editor-turned-Producer-Director, Md Shabbir Mallick is a strong professional who graduated from Jadavpur University. Experienced film director, producer, editor, photographer, and visualizer with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry. Skilled in film direction and production, brand commercials, OTT / WEB, television, and media production. Shabbir's foray into filmmaking began as an Associate Director, working alongside acclaimed filmmakers such as Aparna Sen, Arijit Singh, Eric Gravel (France), Vinod Kapri, Ronnie Sen, Raj Chakraborty, and Mainak Bhaumik. His debut as an independent director materialized in the form of the Bengali theatrical psychological horror thriller film "Bhoot Chaturdashi", produced by Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF) in 2019 and currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime and Hoichoi. Furthermore, he has expanded his involvement into the realm of feature films as a Co-Producer and Associate Director for the national award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri's directorial Hindi-Kumaoni feature film, "Pyre." This film showcases a stellar Academy Award-winning crew and is scheduled to premiere at a prestigious international film festival in 2024. Additionally, Shabbir holds the position of Associate Director for Vinod Kapri's "Mukti," a production by Jio Studios set for release in 2024. Notably, Shabbir and Cineverse Collective are actively involved in producing / co-producing three feature films and a web series for a leading OTT network in 2024, alongside concurrently spearheading the production and direction of television commercials, brand films, and corporate films for renowned national and international brands, including but not limited to Reliance, Ferrero Rocher, MP Birla Group, Bandhan Bank, HP Lubricants, ITC, Shyam Steel, CRM Steel, Khosla Electronics, Wow Chicken, Anmol Industries and Big Bazaar for pioneer agencies like Ogilvy, DDB Mudra, Digitale, Meraqi, Scarecrow M&C Saatchi, R K Swamy, and others. He has produced brand commercials for Kinder Joy, Pernod Ricard, Reliance Smart Bazaar, Reliance Jewels, Carrier, and many more. He is also concurrently engaged in developing his second theatrical feature film, with filming scheduled for later this year.
He plans to push the envelope by creating innovative Indian content that is internationally relevant and can reach out to viewers across the globe. Apart from his foray into films and commercials, Shabbir aims to create a "Content Hub," where he will collaborate with national and international creators to tell the essential stories of modern times that transcend borders and are Indian in origin but international in appeal and essence.
